Drop Dead Gorgeous

This short film by Daniel Montoya, was born from an original idea by make up artist and art director Traci Moore. The whole idea was to capture the essence of a dead beauty, someone that will look beautiful even when passing away.

Shot in Allen, TX at the banks of Lake Tavon this shortfilm was an exploration with depth of field without the use of fixed lenses, natural light and telling a story with beautiful images at a high speed frame rate using the Panasonic HVX200 HD camera. All shots were done using the 60 fps function running at 24 fps, to give like this a slow motion look.
Even though the story was simple, the rhythm needed to be exceptional, a slow pace gives this video its unique feel, the color grading was done in a way that will enhance the beauty of nature without overriding the beauty of the model.
