Travelling to Chicago was a great experience. A windy city surrounded by culture, jazz, blues, a beautiful bay and a very wide and clear beach. Walking its streets is like going back in time, being surrounded by its architecture is simply an art experience.
My time in Chicago was very limited, I went there to record Fareed Haque who was playing with “Math Games” his jazz fusion ensemble. The experience was one of a kind.
I must have to say that the music was an absolut journey into the universe music has to offer, Greg Fundis on the Drums, Alex Austin on the Bass and Fareed on the acoustic and classical guitars. It was just great. The played at Mayne Stage in Chicago, a cool looking location.
The main idea of the video I produced for Alhambra Guitars was to have a conversation with Fareed in the very short time we had between sets that night, it was chaotic since meant running up and down, looking for a “quiet” place in the bar/stage, set up in a minute and shoot. However, I’m happy with the video and Alhambra Guitars loved it! That’s what matters!
Ok, here’s the video for you to enjoy:
